Aloo Tikka Masala

Ingredients:

  • Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp
  • Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ½ tsp
  • Namak (Salt) 1 & ½ tsp or to taste
  • Zeera powder (Cumin powder) ½ tbs
  • Paprika powder 1 tbs
  • Dhania powder (Coriander powder) ½ tbs
  • Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tsp or to taste
  • Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  • Dahi (Yogurt) whisked 2 tbs
  • Baisan (Gram flour) sifted 2 tbs
  • Lehsan paste (Garlic paste) 1 tsp
  • Zarda ka rang (Yellow food color) 1 pinch or as required
  • Aloo (Potatoes) peeled & boiled ½ kg (cut in half)
  • Cooking oil 4 tbs
  • Pyaz (Onion) sliced 1 large
  • Adrak (Ginger) 1 inch piece
  • Lehsan (Garlic) cloves 4-5
  • Tamatar (Tomato) cubes 2 medium
  • Cooking oil 2 tbs
  • Zeera (Cumin seeds) 1 tsp
  • Darchini (Cinnamon stick) 3
  • Laung (Cloves) 3
  • Tomato paste 1 tbs
  • Pani (Water) 3/4 Cup or as required
  • Hari mirch (Green chili) chopped 1-2
  • Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped 1-2 tbs

Directions:

In bowl,add turmeric powder,black pepper powder,salt,cumin powder,paprika powder,coriander powder,red chili powder,garam masala powder,mix well & set aside.

In bowl,add yogurt,gram flour,garlic paste,yellow food color,prepared spice mix (1 & ½ tbs) and mix well.

Now add boiled potatoes and coat well.

In wok,add cooking oil and fry coated potatoes for 4-5 minuets & set aside.

In the same wok,add onion and mix.

Add ginger,garlic and mix well.

Add tomatoes and mix,cover and cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes & let it cool.

In grinder,add onion+tomato mixture and grind well & set aside.

In wok,add cooking oil,cumin seeds,cinnamon sticks,cloves and mix.

Now add grinded paste and mix well.

Add remaining prepared spice mix and mix well.

Add tomato paste,mix well and cook until oil separates.

Add water and mix,cover and cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes.

Add green chilli,fresh coriander and mix.

Now add fried potatoes and garnish with fresh coriander,green chilli & serve!
