Orange Posset

A delightful seasonal treat for all orange lovers. Orange Posset, utilizing the full orange including the skin really make a nice presentation bowl. #happycookingtoyou #foodfusion #digitalammi

-Oranges 6-8 or as required

-Cream 400ml (room temperature)

-Sugar 1/3 Cup or to taste

-Vanilla essence ½ tsp

-Orange zest 1 tsp

-Orange juice 2 tbs

-Lemon juice 2 tbs

-Orange slices

-Podina (Mint leaf)



-Cut oranges in half longwise,remove its pulp to create a clean vessel for a posset & squeeze out its juice & set aside.

-In a saucepan,add cream,sugar,vanilla essence,orange zest & whisk well.

-Turn on the flame & cook on very low flame while stirring until it comes to simmer (10-12 minutes).

-Turn off the flame,add fresh orange juice,lemon juice & whisk well.

-Turn on the flame & cook on low flame for a minute & strain through strainer.

-Pour warm posset into the cleaned orange rinds,tap few times & let it set for 4-6 hours in refrigerator.

-Garnish with orange slices,mint leaf & serve chilled (makes 9-10)!
