Caramalized French Toast

Ingredients:

-Strawberries chopped 1 Cup

-Sugar 2 tbs

-Lemon zest 1 tsp

-Lemon juice 1 tsp

-Cornflour 1 tsp

-Water 1/3 Cup or as required

-Blue band margarine 3-4 tbs

-Brown sugar 1/3 Cup

-Anday (Eggs) 3

-Doodh (Milk) ½ Cup

-Cream ¼ Cup

-Vanilla essence 1 tsp

-Himalayan pink salt 1 pinch

-Bareek cheeni (Caster sugar) 1 tbs

-Sandwich bread 6 slices

 

Directions:

-In a saucepan,add strawberries,sugar,lemon zest,lemon juice,cornflour,water & mix well.

-Turn on the flame,mix well & cook on low flame for 5-6 minutes.Strawberry sauce is ready!

-Let it cool.

-In a bowl,add margarine,brown sugar & let it rest at room temperature until soft then mix until well combined & set aside.

-In a bowl,add eggs,milk,cream,vanilla essence,pink salt,caster sugar,whisk well & set aside.

-Trim bread slices,add & spread prepared brown sugar mixture & place another bread slice over it then dip into egg mixture.

-Place sandwich on greased griddle & apply prepared brown sugar mixture on both sides.

-Turn on the flame & cook on low flame from both sides until caramelized (makes 3).

-On serving plate,add strawberry sauce,place caramelized French toast,garnish with strawberry & serve!
