Prepare Chilli Chips Masala (Seasoning):

-Namak (Salt) ½ tbs or to taste

-Tatri (Citric acid) ½ tsp

-Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) ½ tbs or to taste

-Chaat masala 1 tsp

-Zeera powder (Cumin powder) 1 tsp

-Kala namak (Black salt) ½ tsp

-Tatri (Citric acid) ½ tsp

-Aloo (Potatoes) peeled & washed ½ kg medium

-Ice chilled water as required

-Maida (All-purpose flour) 2 tbs

-Chawal ka atta (Rice flour) 2 tbs

-Kisan Super Cooking oil for frying

Prepare Spicy Hari Chutney:

-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) ½ Cup

-Podina (Mint leaves) 1 Cup

-Lehsan (Garlic) cloves 3

-Hari mirch (Green chillies) 4-5

-Zeera (Cumin seeds) ½ tsp

-Kala namak (Black salt) ¼ tsp

-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste

-Lemon juice 2 tbs

-Water 2-3 tbs or as required


-Safed chanay (Chickpeas) boiled as required

-Aloo (Potatoes) boiled & cubes as required

-Tamatar (Tomato) deseeded & chopped as required

-Pyaz (Onion) chopped as required

-Spicy hari chutney as required

-Sweet tamarind chutney as required

-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped

-Lemon juice



Prepare Chilli Chips Masala (Seasoning):

-In a mortal & pestle,add salt,citric acid and grind.

-Add red chilli powder,chaat masala,cumin powder,black salt,mix well & set aside.

-Cut potatoes into thin julienne strips with the help of cutter.

-In chilled water with ice cubes,add potatoes & soak for 10 minutes.

-Strain & spread on kitchen towel,pat dry completely & let it rest for 10 minutes.

-In a bowl,add potatoes,all-purpose flour,rice flour & mix well.

-In a wok,add cooking oil,heat it (140C) & deep fry potato chips on low flame until golden & crispy (10-12 minutes).

-On fried potato chips,sprinkle prepared seasoning,toss well & set aside.

Prepare Spicy Hari Chutney:

-In a blender jug,add fresh coriander,mint leaves,garlic,green chillies,cumin seeds,black salt,salt, lemon juice & water,blend well & set aside.


-In a bowl,add chickpeas,potatoes,tomato,onion,prepared chilli chips,spicy green chutney,sweet tamarind chutney,fresh coriander & lemon juice,mix well & serve!
