Prepare Shortbread Cookies:

  • Makhan (Butter) salted 200 gms (room temperature)
  • Icing sugar ½ Cup
  • Maida (All-purpose flour) sifted 2 & ½ Cups
  • Vanilla essence 1 & ½ tsp
  • repare Dulce de Leche:
  • Pani (Water)
  • Condensed milk 1 tin (397 gms)


Prepare Shortbread Cookies:

In chopper,add butter,icing sugar and chop well.

Add all-purpose flour and vanilla essence,chop until crumbled & set aside.

On working surface,add crumbled mixture and knead until smooth dough is formed.

On working surface,place cling film,prerpared dough and flattered the dough with rolling pin,wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Sprinkle flour and rolled out dough with the help of rolling pin and cut into desired shape with the help of the cookie cutter.

Grease baking tray with oil and place cookies.

Bake in preheated oven at 180 C for 15 minutes.

Let it cool down.

Prepare Dulce de Leche:

In pressure cooker,add water and condensed milk tin,cover and cook on medium flame for 30 minutes & let it cool down (making sure the water level is at least 2 inches above the can) Or In pot,add water and condensed milk tin,cover and cook on medium flame for 3 hours & let it cool down.

Can be store in air tight container for up to 1 month in refrigerator or use directly.

Add dulce de leche on flat sides of cookies and top with remaining cookies,flat-side down to form sandwich cookies.
