Mint Margarita & Lemonade with homemade lemon Squash

Lemon Squash:

  • Cheeni (Sugar) 1 kg
  • Pani (Water) 2 Cups
  • Lemon slices 2
  • Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
  • Lemon juice 1 & ½ Cups

Mint Margarita:

  • Ice cubes
  • Podina (Mint leaves) 18-20
  • Kala namak (Black salt) 1/4 tsp
  • Prepared lemon squash 5-6 tbs or to taste
  • Soda water 500 ml (chilled)


  • Prepared lemon squash 2-3 tbs or to taste
  • Pani (Water) 1 Cup
  • Zeera (Cumin seeds) roasted & crushed 1/4 tsp
  • Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) 1/4 tsp
  • Kala namak (Black salt) 1/4 tsp


Lemon Squash:

In wok,add sugar and water,mix well and cook until sugar is dissolved (approx.5-6 minutes).

Add lemon slices,mix and cook on low flame for 12-15 minutes.

Add salt and mix well.

Add lemon juice,mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

Let it cool down.

Can be stored for 6 months in refrigerator (yields 1 litre).

Mint Margarita:

In blender,add ice cubes,mint leaves,black salt,prepared lemon squash,soda water and blend well then strain & serve!


In glass jar,add prepared lemon squash,water,cumin seeds,black pepper powder,black salt and mix well & serve!
