Ingredients:

-Moong daal (Yellow lentil) 1 Cup

-Chana daal (Split bengal gram) ½ Cup

-Cooking oil 3 tbs

-Adrak (Ginger) finely chopped 1 & ½ tsp

-Zeera (Cumin seeds) 1 tsp

-Safed til (Sesame seeds) ½ tbs or as required

-Curry patta (Curry leaves) roughly chopped 12-14

-Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed 1 tsp or to taste

-Water 1 Cup or as required

-Aloo (Potato) grated 1 medium

-Himalayan pink salt 1 tsp or to taste

-Hari mirch (Green chillies) finely chopped 2

-Baisan (Gram flour) 4 tbs

-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped handful

-Cooking oil for frying

 

Directions:

-In frying pan,add yellow lentil,split bengal gram & dry roast on low flame until fragrant.

-Let it cool completely.

-In a spice grinder,add roasted lentil & grind well to make a powder & set aside.

-In frying pan,add cooking oil,ginger,cumin seeds,sesame seeds,curry leaves,red chilli crushed & mix well.

-Add water,mix well & bring it to boil.

-Add potato & mix well.

-Add pink salt,green chillies & mix well.

-Add ground lentil mixture,mix well & cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes & mix continuously.

-Take out in a bowl,add gram flour,fresh coriander & mix well.

-Grease hands with cooking oil,take 35g of mixture & make donut shape of equal sizes (makes 24-25).

-Add water,if mixture is dry & add gram flour,if the mixture is thin.

-In a wok,heat cooking oil & fry donuts on medium flame until golden & crispy.

-Serve with green chutney!
