Ingredients:
Sugar Syrup:
- Pani (Water) 2 Cups
- Cheeni (Sugar) 2 Cups
- Lemon juice ¼ tsp
- Rose water 1 tsp
Basbousa:
- Anday (Eggs) 3
- Cheeni (Sugar) 1/3 Cup
- Sooji (Semolina) 2 Cups
- Khopra (Coconut) desiccated 1 Cup
- Dahi (Yogurt) 1 Cup
- Maida (All-purpose flour) ½ Cup
- Baking powder 2 tsp
- Makhan (Butter) unsalted 2/3 Cup (melted)
- Vanilla essence 1 tsp
- Badam (Almonds) blanched as required
- Pista (pistachio) chopped as required
Directions:
For Sugar syrup:
In saucepan,add water,sugar and mix well,bring it to boil and cook until sugar is dissolved & syrup thickens (4-5 minutes).
Add lemon juice and rose water,mix well and let it cool.
For Basbousa:
In bowl,add eggs and sugar,whisk until sugar is dissolved.
Add semolina,coconut desiccated and yogurt,place sifter,add all-purpose flour & baking powder and sift together.
Add melted butter and mix well until well combined.
In the end,add vanilla essence and mix well.
Grease baking pan with butter,pour batter and spread it.
Decorate the top with whole almonds and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Grease ramekins with butter,pour batter and set them.
Bake in preheated at 180 C for 35-45 minutes and turn on top oven grill and bake for another 5 minutes.
After baking,cut into desired shape and pour sugar syrup while it is still hot.
-Pour sugar syrup in ramekins and sprinkle pistachio.

Saucepan mein pani aur cheeni dal ker ache tarhan mix karein,ubal anay ka bad cheeni ghul janay aur syrup garha hunay tak paka lein (4-5 minutes).
Lemon juice aur rose water dal ker mix karein aur thanda ker lein.
For Basbousa:
Bowl mein anday aur cheeni dal dein,cheeni ghul janay tak ache tarhan whisk ker lein.
Sooji,khopra aur dahi dal dein,sifter rakh ker maida aur baking powder dal ker sift ker lein.
Makhan melted dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
Akhir mein vanilla essence dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
Baking pan ko makhan sa grease karein,batter dal ker spread ker lein.
Badam laga ker decorate karein aur 30 minute kliya rakh dein.
Ramekins ko makhan sa grease karein,batter dal ker set ker lein.
Preheated oven mein 180 C per 35-45 minute kliya bake karein phir top oven grill on karein aur mazeed 5 minutes kliya bake karein.
Baking ka bad desired shape mein cut ker lein aur sugar syrup dal dein.
Ramekins mein sugar syrup pour karein aur pista sprinkle ker lein.
