Ingredients:

-Aalo (Potatoes) boiled 500g

-Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 tsp or to taste

-Garam masala powder ½ tsp

-Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed 1/2 tsp

-Zeera (Cumin seeds) roasted & crushed 1 tsp

-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste

-Pyaz (Onion) chopped 2 small

-Hari mirch (Green chillies) chopped 3

-Breadcrumbs ¼ Cup (optional)

-Lemon juice 1 tbs

-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped 2-3 tbs

-Cooking oil for frying

-Dahi (Yogurt) 400g

-Chaat masala 1 tbs

-Water ¼ Cup

Tarka:

-Cooking oil 3-4 tbs

-Rai dana (Mustard seeds) 1 tsp

-Sabut lal mirch (Button red chillies) 5-6

-Kary patta (Curry leaves) 10-12

-Zeera (Cumin seeds) ½ tsp

 

Directions:

-In a bowl,add potatoes & mash well with the help of masher.

-Add red chilli powder,garam masala powder,red chilli crushed,cumin seeds,salt,onion,green chillies, breadcrumbs,lemon juice,fresh coriander & mix until well combined.

-Take small quantity of mixture and make thick kababs of equal size (makes 11-12).

-In a frying pan,heat cooking oil & fry kababs on medium flame from both sides until golden brown.

-In a bowl,add yogurt,chaat masala & whisk well.

-Add water,whisk well & set aside.

Prepare Tarka:

-In a small frying pan,heat cooking oil,add mustard seeds,button red chillies,curry leaves,cumin seeds & mix well.

-In a serving dish,add aalo baray,drizzle prepared yogurt mixture,pour tarka & serve!
