Ingredients:
-Cooking oil 2 tbs
-Blue band margarine 2 tbs
-Sabut kali mirch (Black peppercorns) ½ tsp
-Darchini (Cinnamon sticks) 2
-Zeera (Cumin seeds) ½ tsp
-Tez patta (Bay leaf) 1
-Pyaz (Onion) sliced 1 medium
-Tomato puree ¾ Cup
-Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 1 tbs
-Hari mirch (Green chilli) paste 1 tbs
-Sabut dhania (Coriander seeds) roasted & crushed ½ tbs
-Himalayan pink salt ½ tsp or to taste
-Zeera powder (Cumin powder) ½ tsp
-Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) ½ tsp or to taste
-Garam masala powder ½ tsp
-Kashmiri lal mirch (Kashmiri red chilli) powder ½ tsp
-Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) ¼ tsp
-Dahi (Yogurt) whisked ½ Cup
-Safed chanay (Chickpeas) 2 & ½ Cup (boiled with pink salt & turmeric powder)
-Chickpea water 1 Cup

Prepare Tadka:
-Cooking oil 1 tbs
-Blue band margarine 3 tbs
-Sabut lal mirch (Button red chillies) 2-3
-Zeera (Cumin seeds) 1 tsp
-Kasuri methi (Dried fenugreek leaves) 1 tsp
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped 1 tbs
-Kashmiri lal mirch (Kashmiri red chilli) powder ½ tsp
-Hari mirch (Green chilli) sliced
-Anday (Eggs) boiled 2
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped
Directions:
-In a wok,add cooking oil,margarine & let it melt.
-Add black peppercorns,cinnamon sticks,cumin seeds,bay leaf & mix well.
-Add onion & fry on medium flame until golden.
-Add tomato puree,ginger garlic paste,green chilli paste,mix well & cook for 2-3 minutes.
-Add coriander seeds,pink salt,cumin powder,red chilli powder,garam masala,kashmiri red chilli, turmeric powder,mix well & cook until oil separates (2-3 minutes).
-Remove bay leaf,turn off the flame,add yogurt,turn on the flame,mix well & cook for 1-2 minutes.
-Add chickpeas & mix well.
-Add chickpea water & mix well,cover & cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes then cook on high flame until it dries up.
-Turn off the flame & mash lightly with masher.
-Turn on the flame,add chickpea water,mix well & cook for 2-3 minutes & remove cinnamon sticks.
Prepare Tadka:
-In small frying pan,add cooking oil,margarine & let it melt.
-Add button red chilies,cumin seeds,dried fenugreek leaves,fresh coriander & mix well.
-Turn off the flame,add kashmiri red chilli powder & mix well.
-Now pour tadka on cooked chanay & give it a good mix.
-Garnish with green chilli,eggs,fresh coriander & serve!
