Ingredients:

-Water 1 & ½ Cup

-Sugar 1 Cup

-Hari elaichi (Green cardamom) crushed ½ tsp

-Orange food color ⅛ tsp

-Lemon juice ½ tsp

-Rose water 1 tbs

-Bread slices 14 large

-Cooking oil for frying

-Khopra (Desiccated coconut) as required

-Olpers Milk 1 Litre

-Sugar ½ Cup

-Hari elaichi (Green cardamom) crushed ½ tsp

-Khoya ½ Cup

-Cornflour 2 & ½ tbs

-Olpers Milk ¼ Cup

-Kishmish (Raisins)

-Pista (Pistachios) sliced

-Badam (Almonds) sliced

-Chandi warq (Edible silver leaves)

 

Direction:

-In a saucepan,add water,sugar,green cardamom,orange food color,lemon juice,rose water & mix well.

-Turn on the flame,bring it to boil & cook for 1-2 minutes.Sugar syrup (sheera) is ready!

-Trim bread edges then cut into half.

-In a wok,heat cooking oil & fry bread slices on low flame until golden.

-Now dip fried bread slices in sugar syrup & assemble in serving dish.

-Sprinkle desiccated coconut over bread slices & set aside.

-In a wok,add milk,sugar,green cardamom,mix well & bring it to boil.

-On low flame,add khoya,mix well & cook for 1-2 minutes.

-In small bowl,add cornflour,milk & mix well.

-Now add dissolved cornflour,mix continuously & cook until it thickens (2-3 minutes).

-Pour rabri milk over bread slices.

-Garnish with raisins,pistachio & almonds.

-Let it cool & refrigerate until chilled.

-Garnish with edible silver leaves & serve!
