Japanese Long Fries

Ingredients:

-Aloo (Potatoes) 2 large

-Cornflour 4-5 tbs

-Rice flour 2-3 tbs

-Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed ½ tsp

-Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ½ tsp

-Iodized Himalayan pink salt ½ tsp or to taste

-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) Dried ½ tsp

-Chicken powder ½ tsp

-Cooking oil (For frying) as required

 

Direction:

-Peel potato with help of peeler and wash thoroughly, cut in cubes & add in boiling water, boil potatoes for 7-8 minutes or until tender.

-Strain potato & mash with the help of potato ricer.

-Add corn flour, rice flour, red chilli crushed, black pepper powder, pink salt, dried coriander leaves, chicken powder, mix well until well-combined.

Note: 

Add more corn flour in the potato mixture if the potato is releasing moisture.

-Transfer it to a zip lock bag, lock it, spread with hands then roll out with the help of a rolling pin, freeze for 10 minutes.

-Take it out of the freezer, remove the zip-lock bag, & cut it into 1 cm wide strips.

-In a flat bottom wok, add cooking oil, heat it (150 C)

-Add prepared long fries, fry on medium to high flame until golden & crispy!

-Drizzle some ketchup & mayonnaise & serve!
