Prepare Potato Filling:

-Cooking oil 1 tbs

-Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 1 & ½ tsp

-Zeera powder (Cumin powder) 1 tsp

-Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed ½ tsp

-Ajwain (Carom seeds) ¼ tsp

-Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste

-Chaat masala ½ tsp

-Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) ¼ tsp

-Water ¼ Cup or as required

-Aloo (Potatoes) boiled & mashed 3-4 medium

Prepare Pakora Batter:

-Baisan (Gram flour) sifted 1 & ½ Cup

-Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste

-Zeera (Cumin seeds) ½ tsp

-Baking powder ½ tsp

-Zarda ka rang (Orange food color) 1 pinch or as required

-Water ¾ Cup or as required

Prepare Red Chutney (Lal mirch & Lehsan):

-Lehsan (Garlic) cloves 16-18

-Zeera (Cumin seeds) ½ tsp

-Sabut lal mirch (Button red chillies) 12-15

-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste

-Cooking oil 1 tsp

-Kashmiri lal mirch (Kashmiri red chillies) soaked 2

-Water ¼ Cup or as required

Prepare Green Chutney (Hara Masala):

-Lehsan (Garlic) cloves 2

-Khopra (Desiccated coconut) 3 tbs

-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste

-Podina (Mint leaves) 1 Cup

-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) ½ Cup

-Lemon juice 1 & ½ tbs

-Water ¼ Cup or as required

-Bread slices

-Cooking oil 2 tbs



Prepare Potato Filling:

-In a frying pan,add cooking oil,ginger garlic paste,cumin powder,red chilli crushed,carom seeds,salt, chaat masala,turmeric powder & mix well.

-Add water,mix well & cook on medium flame for 2 minutes.

-Add potatoes,mix well & cook for 2-3 minutes & set aside.

Prepare Pakora Batter:

-In a bowl,add gram flour,salt,cumin seeds,baking powder,orange food color,gradually add water whisk well & set aside.

Prepare Red Chutney (Lal mirch & Lehsan):

-In a spice mill,add garlic,cumin seeds,button red chillies,salt,cooking oil,kashmiri red chillies & water,blend well & set aside.

Prepare Green Chutney (Hara Masala):

-In a spice mill,add garlic,desiccated coconut,salt,mint leaves,fresh coriander,lemon juice & water, blend well & set aside.

-Trim sides of bread slices.

-Add & spread green chutney on one bread slice & red chutney on another bread slice.

-Add & spread potato filling & flip the other bread slice over it.

-Now dip properly bread sandwich in pakora batter to evenly coat all sides.

Option # 1: On Tawa (Griddle)

-On a heated griddle,add cooking oil,prepared sandwich & fry from all sides until crispy & golden brown.

Option # 2: Stovetop Sandwich Maker

-Grease stove top sandwich maker with cooking oil,place prepared sandwich,close sandwich maker & cook directly on medium flame from both sides until done (1-2 minutes).

-Serve with chutney!
